Your first visit: what to expect.
The first visit is where we get to know the car. Here is what happens, in order, and what you get at the end of it.

Tell us where the car sleeps.
We work where the car is parked: a driveway, a workplace lot or a legal street spot. When you book, you give us that address and a time, and the booking checks that the address is covered.
If you are booking a seasonal swap, leave the other set of wheels where the technician can reach it. You don't need to be there if the technician can get into the car; see access, below.
The whole vehicle, recorded from day one.
The technician goes through the whole vehicle — brakes, tires, lights, wipers, fluids, belts, hoses and the battery — measuring and photographing what matters. That inspection becomes the first entry in your vehicle's digital service record.
Then the vehicle is connected to Aperio. Most eligible connected vehicles from 2013 onward can link through 48+ OEM connected-car systems, so the car can tell us when service is due; the compatibility check confirms yours. Other vehicles update their mileage manually.
Keyless, where the car allows it.
When your technician arrives, you get a text. On compatible vehicles, one tap unlocks the car for the length of the visit, and it relocks itself when the work is done.
Other cars can leave a key in a lockbox or with a neighbour, or you can just be there. Most visits take 20 to 30 minutes.
Photos, measurements and what comes next.
After the visit you get before-and-after photos, the measurements in mm and /32 in, and what to expect next time. From then on the car books itself in when service is truly due, and you confirm with one tap or change the time. Nothing books without you.
If the inspection finds something that needs a lift, we collect three quotes from approved shops and you decide. No one sells you anything at the curb.
Before your first visit.
Do I need to be home for the visit?
No. On compatible vehicles, keyless access unlocks the car for the visit; otherwise a key in a lockbox or with a neighbour works. You get a text when the technician arrives and a report when the work is done.
What if it rains, or it's –30?
We work in most weather. In severe conditions your technician will text to move the slot, usually by a day.
Is the onboarding fee charged again when the plan renews?
No. You pay the $45 onboarding fee once per vehicle; after that the vehicle is in for life, with no onboarding fee again when the plan renews.
