Terms of service · Canada & United States

The deal, in full.

These are the terms you agree to when you book a visit or join a plan with Aperio. They are meant to be read once and understood, so they are written the way we would explain them on the phone.

Who you are dealing with

Your agreement is with the company below.

Aperio is the name the service is sold under. Booking a visit, or joining a plan, is what puts these terms in place between us.

What the service is

Maintenance, where the vehicle is parked.

What a plan covers, visit by visit, is set out on a page of its own, and that page is part of these terms: Pricing.

We send a fully equipped van and a certified technician to the address where your vehicle is parked and do routine maintenance there: full-synthetic oil and filter, tire rotation and seasonal swaps, brake and safety inspections, filters, fluids and battery checks.

There are two ways to pay for it. On the annual plan, one flat price per vehicle per year covers every routine visit that vehicle needs, plus the mobile service fee on each visit. Pay-per-visit has no annual fee at all: you pay for the work done that day, at the published rates.

We can only work where it is safe and lawful to work: a legal parking space, room around the vehicle, no active weather hazard, and permission from whoever controls the property. If the technician arrives and cannot work safely, the visit is rescheduled and you are told why.

Some work is beyond what a mobile van can do. Where that happens we say so, and we can pass the job to a partner repair shop — that work is a separate agreement between you and that shop, on their terms, at a price you approve first.

Booking a visit

What we each have to do.

A slot time is the start of a window, not a guarantee to the minute. We tell you if a technician is running late.

You book in the portal or by phone, and you confirm the vehicle, the address and the time slot before anything is scheduled. Nothing is ever booked for you without that confirmation.

Your side of it is simple: the vehicle is at the address at the agreed time and the technician can get to it, what you have told us about the vehicle is accurate, and you have the authority to have the work done on it.

Our side of it: a certified technician, the right oil and filter for your engine, the work documented with photographs, and a service record you can read and share.

Prices, currency and taxes

Every charge is published before you book.

If a charge is not on the pricing page or shown to you at booking, it is not a charge we will make.

Prices are in Canadian dollars in Canada and in US dollars in the United States, at the same figures, and are shown before applicable taxes.

The mandatory charges sit next to the plan price: the mobile service fee on each visit, the one-time onboarding fee when a vehicle joins, and the additions for engines that take more than six litres of oil and for European and diesel engines. Taxes are added at checkout at the rate for your province or state.

On the All-Inclusive plan, the mobile service fee is $0 for the first 4 visits of each plan year, and the published fee applies to every visit after those; the seasonal tire storage it includes covers both seasons, each plan year.

We can change published prices. The price you join at is locked for your 12-month term, and we tell plan holders before a renewal price changes.

Cancelling and refunds

The plan is a 12-month commitment.

You can cancel whenever you like, but cancelling does not end the 12-month term, and nothing is refunded. This is the whole policy.

The 12-month termJoining a plan commits that vehicle to 12 months of service at a price locked for those 12 months. Paying in 12 monthly payments costs $50 more for the 12 months than paying up front: the vehicle's yearly price plus $50, divided over 12 payments. It does not shorten the term, and if you cancel partway through, the remaining payments of that term are still owed. Longer terms are available, mostly for fleets; a contract with its own term follows that contract.
Term
How to cancel a planIn the booking portal, under your plan, or by calling 1-833-466-4520. An email to hello@aperiomobility.com works too; we act on the date it arrives. Cancelling stops the plan from continuing past the term it is in.
How
What is not refundedNothing is. Unused months are not refunded, whether you paid for the year up front or month by month, and a vehicle that was driven less than expected, or not at all, is still a vehicle on the plan: its monitoring, inspections and scheduled work carried on. Visits you have already had are not refunded, and the one-time onboarding fee is not refunded — the condition inspection it paid for has already been done.
Refunds
At the end of the termBefore the term ends we tell you the price for the next one. Unless you cancel before the renewal date, the plan renews for a further 12-month term at that price.
Renewal
Cancelling a single visitReschedule or cancel a visit in the portal or by phone. The notice we need, and any charge for cancelling later than that, are shown to you at booking before you confirm.
Visits
If nobody is thereIf the technician arrives and the vehicle is not accessible, the visit counts as used and the mobile service fee for it may be charged. The amount is the one shown at booking.
No-show

Nothing in this section takes away a right you have under provincial, state or federal consumer-protection law, and where that law gives you a better outcome than this policy, that law wins.

Your vehicle and your warranty

Servicing with us does not cost you your manufacturer's warranty.

Two conditions do all the work: the maintenance must meet the manufacturer's specification, and you must be able to show it was done.

We fill with full-synthetic oil meeting the grade and specification your manufacturer lists for your engine, fit OEM-equivalent filters matched to it, and log every visit in a service history you can read, export and hand to a dealer or a buyer.

In the United States, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act stops a manufacturer from conditioning a warranty on the use of its own dealers or its own branded parts, unless it supplies them free of charge.

In Canada there is no single equivalent statute. A manufacturer's warranty is a contract, read alongside provincial consumer-protection law and the Competition Bureau's rules on misleading representations — and under that framework a manufacturer cannot void a warranty simply because an independent provider did the maintenance.

In both countries a manufacturer can still refuse a claim for damage that a specific repair actually caused. If our work damages your vehicle, tell us as soon as you notice it and we will repair it or pay to have it repaired.

Limitation of liability

What we are, and are not, on the hook for.

We are responsible for the work we do and for damage we cause. We are not responsible for a fault that was already there.

We are not liable for a pre-existing condition we did not cause, for a loss you could have avoided by telling us something we asked for, or for indirect losses such as lost income, lost time or a missed opportunity.

Except where the law does not allow it to be limited, our total liability for everything connected with a plan or a visit is capped at what you have paid us for that vehicle in the twelve months before the event that caused the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are untouched by this page.

Changes and governing law

Manitoba law, and a date at the top of the page.

Questions about these terms go to hello@aperiomobility.com or 1-833-466-4520. What we do with your information is on a page of its own: Privacy policy.

We can change these terms. The date at the top of this page changes with them, a change never applies retroactively to a plan year you have already paid for, and if a change is material we tell plan holders by email before it takes effect.

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them, are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Manitoba have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the place you live.

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the rest of them stay in force.
