The whole thing,
start to finish.
Aperio replaces the shop visit with a technician who comes to the car. Here's exactly what happens, in order, and what you'll see on your phone at each step.
Link your car once. Or don't.
Any 2013-or-newer vehicle can share its own data with Aperio — odometer, oil life, tire pressure, battery state, fault codes and recall status. 2013+ cars link through 48+ OEM systems so your car alerts us when service is due; older vehicles update mileage manually. You authorise it once through your manufacturer's account; no hardware, no dongle.
Prefer not to? Book manually. You'll get the same visit; you'll just be the one who remembers.
Every vehicle starts with a full condition inspection before it goes on the plan. A technician goes through the whole vehicle, measures and photographs what matters and records its condition from day one — that inspection becomes the first entry in your vehicle's digital service record — and connects the vehicle to Aperio. If an oil change or a tire rotation is already due, it is done at that same visit.
Onboarding is $45 per vehicle, once. You pay it the day the vehicle joins and never again: that vehicle is in for life.
We compare what's wearing against your manufacturer's schedule.
Every night, Aperio checks each connected vehicle: distance since the last service, oil life, brake and tire readings from the last visit, open recalls. When something comes due, we propose a time that fits your pattern — early before work, or while the car's parked at the office.
The point of watching is timing: your car books in when it truly needs the work, not early. The average driver covers about 16,000 km (10,000 mi) a year, which is roughly two oil-life visits — plus the spring and fall tire swaps if you use them. You confirm with one tap. Or change the time. Nothing books without you.
What actually happens in the driveway.
A typical core visit, minute by minute. You'll get a text at each bold step.
Live ETA. You can see the van approaching in the app.
Marcus parks behind your car and requests access. One tap unlocks for the visit window.
Exterior, tires, underhood — documented before any work starts.
Full-synthetic oil and filter, rotation and torque, brake measurement, 40-point check, fluid top-ups.
Before-and-after photos, measurements in mm and /32", and what to expect next time.
Automatically. The van leaves. Your record updates.
Some jobs don't belong in a driveway. We handle those too.
Brakes, alignment, transmission, AC — anything needing a hoist goes to an Aperio-approved shop. We collect quotes, you pick, we manage the job.
We flag it
Your technician measures and photographs the issue during a routine visit. No one sells you anything at the curb.
Three quotes
Approved shops near you bid on the job with parts and labour itemised. You see all three in the app.
Same record
Work done at a partner shop lands in the same service history — photos, invoice, warranty — as your driveway visits.
Before you connect.
What data does Aperio read from my car?
Odometer, oil life, tire pressure, battery state, warning lights and recall status. We don't read location while you're driving; we only need to know where it's parked when a visit is booked.
Can I disconnect later?
Yes — one tap in the app, or revoke access from your manufacturer's account. Your service history stays with you either way.
Do you need my keys?
No. Modern vehicles unlock via your manufacturer's app; you approve each visit. Older cars can leave a key in a lockbox or with a neighbour — or you can just be there.
What if it rains, or it's –30?
We work in most weather. In severe conditions your technician will text to move the slot, usually by a day.
