What oil does your International Prostar take?
It depends on the year and engine — the table above lists the manufacturer's grade for each. Recent Prostars most often take 15W-40. We fill with full synthetic in the specified grade.
How much oil does your International Prostar hold?
11.36 L (12.0 qt) with a new filter, depending on engine. We fill to the dipstick and record the amount in your service record.
How often should I change the oil in my Prostar?
On the plan, when the Prostar's oil-life monitor reaches 10% or at 8,000 km (5,000 mi) — whichever comes later — or on International's published interval. If your Prostar is 2013 or newer, Aperio reads the oil-life monitor and books the visit when it's due, so you never guess.
Can you do the oil change at my home?

What does a International Prostar oil change cost?
$256.90 for a full-synthetic oil change on the most recent Prostar, plus the $20 mobile service fee — the table above shows the price for every year and engine. On the plan the oil change is included and you pay only that fee.
Is the International Prostar on the $199 consumer plan?
No. The Prostar is a commercial vehicle, so it is priced under the fleet program instead: $260 per vehicle per year plus a $20 mobile service fee per visit (first 4 visits a year; $30 after), for vehicles up to 6 L (6.3 qt) of oil. Heavy trucks, diesel engines and large sumps are quoted. The posted price is our best first price; every fleet's program is fine-tuned from there.
